Hi I'm Rosalie

I love being a mother and grandmother to 8 children and 29 grandchildren. I like to garden and I enjoy music. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I like to raise a garden and preserve the produce. I raise flowers and take care of our large yard. I enjoy playing the piano and singing. Music is way for me to relax and relieve the stresses of life. I work with my husband in our business - mostly keeping the books. We have a farming and livestock operation which involves two of our sons. I have always enjoyed reading. As a child my mother would often have to chase me out of a book to complete my chores. My greatest pleasure comes from association with my family. We always enjoy getting together for birthdays, holidays, family reunions and "just because". I find great joy and happiness in seeing my children and posterity serving one another.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born to parents who are also members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was baptized as a youth and learned first hand how living gospel principles brought us happiness and drew us close as a family. Since I had those blessings, I naturally wanted them to continue as I became an adult. But I have also prayed and studied to know for myself that this is God's church on the earth today. I have received the witness of the Holy Ghost confirming to me that I have made the correct choice and that Jesus Christ suffered and died for me. I know that it is only through His grace that I may have the opportunity to return to my Father in Heaven. I know through the Holy Ghost that Jesus directs His work through prophets including Joseph Smith Jr. who restored Christ's Church to the earth. I know that Thomas S Monson is his mouthpiece today.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and feel the Spirit of the Lord in our meetings. I enjoy the fellowship of the ward members and the "family" feeling of belonging to our ward. I enjoy reading the scriptures on a daily basis. They help me recognize answers to prayer, and provide guidance in my life. I find it amazing that prophets from so long ago knew the same circumstances I face every day and provided solutions. I pray personally and in family gatherings. I know God hears and answers our sincere prayers. I currently direct the ward choir and oversee music in our ward as music chairman but have served in many callings in Relief Society, Young Women and Primary. I have been a visiting teacher since I was in college. I love the sisters I visit. They are talented, cheerful, positive examples in my life. I love to attend the LDS temple. It helps me recognize my purpose for being on this earth and the central role of Jesus Christ in the creation of the world and especially in the Atonement. I love to serve those who have died in providing the ordinances and covenants that they need to return to live with our Father in Heaven. I also feel closer to my own ancestors through family history research. I watch General Conference twice yearly and revisit the talks given by the leaders of the Church almost weekly. I love the inspired counsel they give. It is so pertinent to my life.
