Hi I'm Alexandra Bueno

I'm from Georgia, on a mission in Pocatello Idaho. I'm a heavy metal kid, I hate shoes, I'm a laughter addict, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a southern girl, definitely the class clown type of person. Making people laugh is my favorite pass time! I'm a music junky, there will always be music playing if I can help it! I love the out doors. I grew up camping, riding horses, climbing trees, and going on all kinds of fun adventures. I could spend all day watching movies or reading a good book. I love sports, even though I stink at most (all) of them. I love people, I love my family, and I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know and have learned for myself, that it is the truth. I know through my own experience that it's teachings are true and for our benefit and protection. I've not always chosen to live in accordance to its teachings, I was lost and unhappy. Through the the church I have found myself and strengthened my relationship with God. I am happier when I follow its teaching, I have the spirit with me when I choose right, I've learned to love myself despite the mistakes I've made. Everyone is born with a God sized hole in their heart, you can try to fill it with all kinds of worldly things but until you fill it with God you will still be empty. This Gospel and its truths have helped me put God in my hole; I am full, and I am complete because of it. I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and He loves me, and I want to do all I can to be worthy of His love.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in all I do. I've served in many callings within my ward and stake. Sunday school teacher, young women presidency, camp leadership roles, and many others. I particularly loved being a youth camp leader, and interaction with the young girls and giving guidance when needed. I've planned quite a few service projects with the youth in my ward. One of my favorite places is the children's shelter that we visit and bring meals to, I love being around those kids! Now I am serving a full time mission in Pocatello Idaho and loving every second!

Who are the Mormons?

Alexandra Bueno
Mormons are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The title Mormon stems from our belief in the Book of Mormon, an ancient scripture of prophets in the Americas and their dealings with Jesus Christ. Mormons are normal people just like everyone else. We're your neighbors and coworkers, we have a faith that we try and live by, though we aren't always perfect at it. Mormons are imperfect people trying to better themselves through a stronger relationship with God and Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ helps us to be better and grow closer to our Father in Heaven.
