Hi I'm Gordon Wankier

I grew up in Utah but have lived in Idaho for the past 26 years. I love the outdoors with my wife, 4 daughters and 16 grandkids

About Me

I come from a family where my parents and grandparents were a very big part of my life. They taught me how to work and also taught me how to play. After the chores were completed we would play kickball, baseball, hunt, fish, water ski and many other activities that taught me about my family and myself. I have tried to pass that onto my children and grandchildren by planning and doing fun activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a fifth generation Mormon. The example of my family has been a great help to encourage me to live as the Savior would have me do. But, more important than that, I have studied the doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints and prayed many times to understand. Then I have tried to incorporate the principals of the Gospel into my life. Over a lifetime of putting these principals to the test I have come to know by the Holy Spirit that this is the true Gospel. I know it is true without a shadow of doubt.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy being part of a community. I have served on the city planning and zoning, chamber of commerce, Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club, Gun Club and other service oriented activities. I have done various things in my Church, but have spent most of my time serving in the Scouting program. I have really enjoyed the camps, hikes and other activities that help boys become men.
