Hi I'm Zack Buckway

I grew up in Utah and I volunteered at the local hospital. The Book of Mormon Changed my life. I'm grateful to be a Mormon.

About Me

There are many interests I have acquired. I enjoy sports of all kinds, but recently I have, due to injury, learned to enjoy reading much more. I am a student at my local university. I find many of my educational interests in the field of science, specifically Medicine and Chemistry. This leads me to volunteer at my local hospital. I get to learn and grow from serving in any way that I can. Music also is a strong passion I enjoy. I have been part of many school and church choirs, as well as very involved in the theater program at my high school. I also am an Eagle Scout and have loved growing up in the scouting program. These interests may seem like I was either forced or encouraged to engage in, but they all have come to me by my own true volition and I have grown to love each and every one of them.

Why I am a Mormon

People don't always see me as the young man that I am in superficial ways, but as disciple of Christ. Why? Personally I have learned through diligent work and study how to live in such a way that others are able to look past the naive youth that I am, and see my hours upon hours of patient work. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of solid influences of true love that are part of my life. I also have come to know through almost 5 years of diligent, persistent, and consistent study and action. The Lord Jesus Christ has blessed me with this sacred opportunity to be part of His fullness of the Gospel of Christ. His Father, even our Father in Heaven, loves us everlastingly. Our Heavenly Father has given us a plan by which will bring us infinite joy. He and His only begotten, Jesus Christ, are with us by the sacred power and feeling of the Holy Ghost. I LOVE them both beyond my very weak and frail being. For they give me strength in the very hour I need it because of my willingness to be part of Their fold. I testify that the Book of Mormon is the very word of God. It testifies purely of Jesus Christ which, along with the Bible and the Holy Spirit, have grounded and rooted me in my firmness of my testimony of Christ.

How I live my faith

I participate regularly by serving the people in my ward. There are many specific organized events where we help each other with yard work or specific projects. I also try to exemplify my faith by helping to teach and invite others to know about Christ. I have a family in my care to whom I visit each month to share an inspiring message. I also am there to help them in any other way that I can.
