Hi I'm Jacob

I'm from Kentucky, but currently serving a mission in Long Beach, California! I love my Savior Jesus Christ, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jacob. I'm Mormon and I love it! I'm currently on a mission in Long Beach California Spanish speaking. I play the piano and I sing, even though I'm not super great at either. :) I'm originally from Texas, but I've lived in Kentucky for most of my life. I love the outdoors and nature! I spend a lot of time outside, and it has helped me to develop a love for all of God's beautiful creations. My dream college would have to be either Murray State University in Kentucky, or Brigham Young University in Utah. I love Basketball and Football, and would love to play on any college team! I'm interested in all kinds of health; Mental, Physical, Spiritual, and Emotional. My main goal would be to create my own career where I can help people with all kinds of health problems. I believe that all the parts of our being are connected, and if you address one issue it can help the other. While working on each one individually will sometimes work, I believe that you could strengthen all parts of the body at the same time. One thing that I have recently been working on is scripture study. Through diligent scripture study , I have become more loving, grateful, and sensitive to the Spirit. I would encourage everyone to diligently search the scriptures to find answers to their own questions through the words of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it has brought me so much joy! I was, what you might call, "born in the church". Yes I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, but when I was younger I went through a stage where I needed to know the truth for myself, rather than trusting on someone else. I had to go through a lot of prayer and scripture study in order to know what I wanted to do and be for myself. I can now truly say that I know that this church has the absolute truth of the Gospel. This church is perfect, although it is full of imperfect people. I love this church and this gospel so much! I am so grateful for the opportunity that the Lord has given me to be in this wonderful church, and I hope to be able to share this amazing blessing with other people!

How I live my faith

I have had many callings during my time as a Mormon, and I am grateful for all of them! I have served as a Pianist and Organist for my small congregation. I also had the opportunity to teach the youth for a short time as a Seminary teacher and Sunday School teacher. How do I live my faith? WITH FAITH! Faith is so important when it comes to the things of God. There are so many things that I don't understand, and might not ever understand, but faith makes it okay to not understanding everything completely.
