Hi I'm Steve Gunn

I'm a grandpa, and I love my grandkids and I'm Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for 46 years. We are the parents of 3 sons and 2 daughters. We have 11 grand children, with 2 more and 1 great grandchild on the way. We enjoy spending time with our children and grand children. I retired from the newspaper business after working in he circulation department for 38 years and then obtained my CDL and drove a semi for 7 years. I enjoy traveling with my wife and taking care of our yard. During my younger years, I loved to arrise early and play basketball at the church at 5:30 AM 3 days a week. I continued doing that for more than 35 years, but I finally stopped at age 63 because of issues with my achilles tendon. I also was an avid motorcyclist for the better part of 40 years and my wife and I enjoyed touring with our Honda Goldwing until I sold it to our son-in-law this year.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been active in the church all of my life and as I've matured, my understanding of our Heavenly Father's plan has developed into a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. I love the gospel because it provides peace and hope and happiness. I see many people struggle with many of life's issues and I know that if they understood God's plan as taught in this church, they would find the answers that would bring peace to their hearts. I know that the gospel is true. I know that God lives and that Jesus Christ is His Son and that His Atonement makes it possible for us to return to live with our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

My wife and I currently attend a local Spanish speaking ward, where I serve as the financial clerk. I also serve as a home teacher and enjoy visiting with our assigned families every month. I enjoyed teaching the youth in our branch and also had the opportunity to teach the older brethren in our branch. We love the wonderful people in our ward and we look forward to serving as full time missionaries.
