Hi I'm Amanda Yapias

I was born and raised in Provo, Utah. I have four brothers. I have been raised by a single mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student who loves to cook! My favorite thing to cook is Peruvian food because that is my dad's heritage. I love American football and always cheer for the BYU Cougars. In February of 2016 I will be heading to the Argentina Bahia Blanca mission. I look forward to serving the people of Argentina.

Why I am a Mormon

I cannot remember a time that I did not believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Over the past few years as I have matured, its truthfulness has became very real to me. I have seen the hand of the Lord directing me in my life and what I should be doing. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and will always love me. I know that Heavenly Father is deeply interested in the decisions I make everyday and he wants me to be happy. I am grateful for his son Jesus Christ for atoning for my sins and weaknesses. Through Jesus Christ I can be made perfect by keeping the commandments. I know that by obeying the commandments I will be able to kneel before The Lord knowing I have done my best to be the person he has designed me to be. I am grateful for eternal families and for temples which make them possible. Obedience to Heavenly Father's commandments is the only way we can be happy and is the only way we can enter the temple to obtain an eternal family.

How I live my faith

I love helping those in need. I love going to the temple and feeling the Spirit of the Lord that is there. I love spending time with my family because they are the best part of my life. I remember everyday the things that my Savior has done for me. When life gets hard, I put my trust in the Lord that everything will be ok and in the end it is. I love having the opportunity to share the gospel with those in Argentina. It has brought me so much peace and happiness in my life.
