Hi I'm Mollie Bradley

I'm a learner, music lover, and a "trying new things" enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student a Brigham Young University currently majoring in Communication Disorders in the hopes of becoming a Speech Language Pathologist. I love to read historical fiction and sci-fi books in my spare time as well as watch movies. I would have to say that old movies are my favorite. I enjoy running other than during the Summer in Houston. I ran my first half marathon last year. I also enjoy playing volleyball, soccer, and doing yoga. Hiking is one of my favorite past times. Hiking with my family when I was younger in California are some of my favorite memories and I got to continue those memories hiking with friends in Utah. Music has always been a big part of my life. I have enjoyed being in choirs from elementary school to high school. For me music has a way of piercing my soul in a way that other things can't. I thoroughly enjoy jazz music as well as many other styles. I have been called as a full-time missionary to serve in the Taiwan, Taipei mission. I am currently learning the Mandarin language and will be speaking Mandarin Chinese on my mission. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a representative of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ lives and that because He lives we can live again and return to Heavenly Father and live with our families for eternity. Reading the Book of Mormon has given me increased perspective on why we came to earth and where we go after we die. I feel peace and assurance when I devote my time to studying the scriptures (Bible and Book of Mormon). I was born as a member of this church but I continue to be a member not because of familial expectation but because I am truly converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that when I repent for doing things that are bad that I am completely forgiven. I believe that there is a prophet on the earth today, just like there were before Christ came. I believe that the prophet leads and guides us in accordance to what Jesus Christ would have us do if He were on the earth today. I'm a Mormon because I know what the path to eternal happiness and peace looks like and I want everyone to have access to that too. I know that we are not on earth by accident and that no one is a "nobody", we are all children of God and have purpose.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading frequently from the Bible and Book of Mormon. When I show God that I am making an effort to study His word I'm blessed with inspiration. This also gives me the opportunity to learn more about Jesus Christ and all that He has done for me. I also serve others and bring my family closer together by working on my personal ancestry work and by helping others with theirs. While at BYU I was able to teach a Family History class at church in which I helped others search for resources to find information about their ancestors. I would also say that I express my faith through music. I enjoy singing in church choir and in sharing musical numbers that are about Jesus or another inspirational topic. I have shown my faith by putting in my application to become a full time missionary. I have been called to serve in the Taiwan, Taipei mission. During my mission I will continue to strengthen my personal conversion to Jesus Christ and His gospel. My purpose as a missionary is to invite others to come unto Christ through the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. As a missionary I will also serve others in various capacities.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Mollie Bradley
When we speak of having a testimony this is a witness gained personally that we know something to be true. In sharing our testimony with others we can share what we know about Jesus Christ and about our Heavenly Father. A testimony comes through revelation by listening to the promptings of the Holy Ghost or the Spirit. At the core of our faith our testimonies are built on our belief that God is our Father and that He loves us. Because He loves us He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins but He lives. It is also based on our belief that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that he restored the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. Through Christ we can return to be with God after this life. Our testimony of these things is strengthened when we turn to the scriptures, The Book of Mormon and the Bible which we believe to be God's word. This testimony is also strengthened when we turn to God in prayer and ask for understanding of those things of which we are unsure. Show more Show less
