Hi I'm Annica

I have a passion for learning new things. I work full time as a CNA. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up playing soccer and Lacrosse during High School. I love being active in nature and seeing the beauty that God has placed all around us. I grew up with a religious family who taught me to love those around me and strive to be more like our Savior. What motivates me is my desire to help and serve others. This desire has led me to train in various medical certifications and work to help those who don't have access to modern medicine. Helping people excites me in being able to make a difference, even if it seems small. I graduated High School in 2015 and paused my education and job as a CNA to share what I believe to the people in Oklahoma.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS home where the standards were well taught. My parents encourage us to find and live what we believe. As I searched for the truth from many different sources and religions I decided to participate in EFY. EFY, or Especially for Youth, is where youth can study the scriptures and come closer to their Heavenly Father through various activities. Through study and prayer I came to know for myself that this gospel is true, and is the way to answer any and all questions in life. I know that we lived with Heavenly Father before this life and that through Jesus Christ we will be able to live with him again. Through the Priesthood, the power and authority of God given to man, I can be with my family forever. Death doesn't separate us and all can be made right. This knowledge brings me strength and comfort through hard times. I didn't gain a knowledge all at once but little bit by little bit. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has blessed my life immensely and has guided me to become the person that I am.

How I live my faith

The teachings of Christ are very simple in nature but also complex in details. Through the teachings of the prophets, in olden scriptures and modern day revelation, I've come to know more of Christ. Learning of Christ has taught me how to follow his attributes and become a better example to the people around me by taking care of the needs of others. In order to understand the teachings of Christ I've lead service projects, organized activities, and helped with a youth camping trip. Recently I have taught lessons to the youth and older members of my ward. Faith isn't just what's inside but how that belief can make everything around me better. Living the standards of the church like the Word of Wisdom, the Law of Chastity, and the guidelines in The For Strength Of Youth pamphlet have helped my life be more full of joy. Not every moment of life is happy but following the teachings of Jesus Christ and abstaining from certain things gives me the keys to have more happiness and less restrictions and consequences. It may seem contradictory but by not drinking alcohol for example I never have to worry about having any problems that can come from drinking. Studying the scriptures daily and praying to our Heavenly Father I can actively seek to understand more and have his guidance with me always.
