Hi I'm Kristi

I've lived in eight states in the USA. I write stories. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have moved a lot in my life. I have lived in Utah, Colorado, Montana, Arizona, Kansas, New Mexico, Nebraska, and Idaho. I love to read, write, ski, wakeboard, play the flute, play the piano, be with my family, and watch movies. I have finished one year of college and loved it! I taught piano lessons for two years. I've also worked at Walmart and at a daycare. I was in marching band in high school. I am the oldest out of all of my siblings and have three younger sisters and two younger brothers. Right now I am serving a mission in the Taiwan, Taipei mission speaking Mandarin Chinese. I have a dream of one day being a great author and having many books and short stories published.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was little my parents would always take me to the LDS church on Sunday. I grew up in the church. Besides my family is was the only constant thing in my life with all of the moves. I am in the church not just because of these things, but because of other experiences that have helped my faith to grow. I have prayed and gotten answers, sometimes in unexpected ways. When I read the Book of Mormon I have a feeling of peace, when I go to church and learn about the gospel I have a good feeling inside me. It just makes sense, I know this church is true. Its hard for me to lie, and I hit a certain point in my life where I had to know that the LDS church is true to continue. I have not had a huge conversion experience, but through many different experiences in my life it has led up to my unwavering faith today. From praying to find something when I was five and finding it right away. To getting a warm feeling inside in answer to some question I have today. The reason why I am a Mormon is because I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins, and was resurrected. I know Heavenly Father listens to my prayers. The things taught in the LDS church give me a good feeling, and I figure that if its makes me feel full of peace and happiness it has got to be true.

How I live my faith

I attend church for three hours each Sunday and I have also participated in a lot of church activities during the rest of the week. I have been one of the leaders in the church's organization for women for a couple months. I have also participated in a church pageant in Nauvoo for two weeks for two times with my family. In the church pageant we would prepare for the performance, help with a fair beforehand, and then be on stage. During high school I attended an early morning class before school each day that focused on these scriptures; the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and the Old and new testament in the Bible. I've participated in a lot of church sponsored events that focused on service in the community.
