Hi I'm Taylor

I am in college, I love kids, I love Christ and I am a Mormon

About Me

I am the oldest of four children and the only girl. I was born in Utah and grew up in Ohio. As a child my brother and I would play outside until the sun went down. A few years down the road my parents had my two other brothers, they are 8 and 10 years apart from me, but they are awesome! When I graduated High School I then decided to come out to Rexburg, Idaho and go to school at BYU-Idaho. It had a rocky start but I couldn't be happier now. I am studying to become a teacher, one day I want to teach kindergarten. Why? Because children bring me so much joy and I just can't get enough of them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not only because I was born into the church but because I love the church and the gospel it teaches. Time and time again I am shown in small and simple things that the Lord loves me and watches after me. This church has brought me so much happiness throughout the years and I can never imagine myself without it in my life. I love knowing that God has a plan for me and for everyone else in my life, it has made me a better person then I would have been otherwise. I love all the teachings and how I can apply them in my own personal life. Knowing His love for me is what pushes me through those rough days. He loves me and I can feel it daily, He wants each and everyone of us home to Him and we can do that through the teachings of this gospel. This is the true church with the fullness of teachings. I know this because I have pondered it, I have studied it deeply, I have prayed about it, and I continue to apply His teachings in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily. It is by the small and simple things, reading my scriptures, saying my prayers and my personal favorite, service. When living my faith it isn't just merely a check off list, that would be the wrong mindset, but earnestly trying to become and do better, trying to be more and more like Christ. Out of those few small and simple things to do service would have to be my favorite. Being from Ohio and then going to school all the way in Idaho is a pretty big change and very far from home, my first few semesters were rough, I was homesick and had no one to go to. I try my hardest to now be that person that someone feels comfortable coming to, I try to befriend anyone I meet, sometimes listening can be the biggest service to someone. The Lord loved and listened to everyone, and still does, so what better way to try and be like Him then by loving our fellow brothers and sisters unconditionally.
