Hi I'm Cassidy

I love to sing, dance, play the piano, and do anything outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college freshman. In high school I sang in the choirs all four years. I advanced to the very top advanced mixed choir, where I became an officer (leader). I love to sing. I have played the piano since I was 9 years old. I'm not the best but when I play it gives me a sense of release and peace. I danced since I was six and enjoyed every type I learned. I enjoyed Ballet the most. I have only brothers, one older one younger. Being the only girl I was probably spoiled but i didn't see it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born with my parents being Mormon, so growing up I just followed in there footsteps, but as I matured was able to see the benefits of being Mormon. I had a sense of belonging in my teenage years with youth activities provided by the church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the best thing that ever happened in my life. Being a member of this church has led me to find so much knowledge of Gods love for his children. I have the knowledge of the continuous atonement, set forth by Jesus Christ, that will someday lead my back to the presence of God. The atonement makes it possible for our sins to be white as snow. One of the major faith increases that I have seen in my family is when I lost my little cousin. She was four years old and died very sudden. With the knowledge we had of eternal families we knew we would be able to see her again. I am grateful for what this gospel has taught me and how it has shaped me into the woman I am today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those around me. I dislike when people don't "practice what they preach", so I try my hardest in my everyday life to be who I would want others to see me as. I live my faith by finding the good things in all of Gods children and trying my best not to be judgmental. I live my faith by learning more about it through scripture study and prayer.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

"it is by grace we are saved after all that we can so" but what is this grace? Grace is the mercy, strength, and everlasting power of God. Mormons believe that the grace of God will save us when we repent of our sins and try to change our ways to become a better person. God showed us his grace by making a way for us to return to his presence because no unclean thing can enter into His holy kingdom. The way he made for us to return to him is through Jesus Christ's continuous atonement. I want to emphasize continuous because even if we are not being perfect or fall back into an old sin God shows us mercy and will always be there to forgive us no matter how many times we mess up. Mormon's believe full-heartedly in grace. We know that if we work our hardest we will be saved through God's grace.. Show more Show less
