Hi I'm Viorel Patterson

I am a convert to the church. Been a member for nearly 10 years and have been able to experience many great blessings in my life.

About Me

I am from Moldova, was adopted in 2006, came here to America heard about the church. I went to it a couple of times and loved the people and especially the feeling that was in the building. I than decided that i wanted to become a member of Gods true church, and have been happy with the blessings it has provided me with.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because i chose to. As a young boy i decided that i needed a purpose in life, a goal that i can work towards. many people would say that there are other goals that i could have chosen and they are right. But i needed to know that i belonged to someone besides my parents. When my biological parents passed away, i was angry because they were not there for me, but the church gave me the reassurance that i will be able to see them once again and can be reunited with them. That is why i am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The way i live my faith is the same as all other people that live their faith. I go to church on Sundays, i do my best to keep the sabbath day holy. I participate in my community and church activities, and i also do my best to sustain and complete my church callings. Reading scriptures and praying have become a major life style. It provides for me to keep a close relationship with my father in haven.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Viorel Patterson
As members of the church we preform baptism for the dead people that were not able to be baptized while they were alive. We members take their name to the temple and baptized them and confirm them as members of Gods church. This is because everyone need to have a chance to have a chance to accept god into their life and by becoming a member of his true church and by being baptized into his church we show our love towards him.
