Hi I'm Jessica

I was born and raised in Canada. I love to play the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the third child of six kids in my family who I love with all of my heart. I am passionate about the piano and have been playing for 14 years now. I am currently attending BYU-Idaho and studying to become an elementary school teacher. Though I am excited about pursuing my career, my main goal in life is to become a wife and mother and building up the kingdom of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the great happiness that it brings into my life. The knowledge and strength that I receive from belonging to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

How I live my faith

I live my faith following the example of Jesus Christ and being a kind and generous person. I believe that kindness goes a long way and how you treat others reflects greatly on your standards and beliefs. I also live my faith through my talents. I have the talent of playing the piano and I thoroughly enjoy playing LDS hymns and other compositions that focus on the beliefs in the LDS religion. Playing in church has always been a calling that I have had, whether it is playing the hymns for meetings or doing musical numbers with the choir or solo, greatly demonstrates my testimony in how I play. I also strive to fulfill any other callings that have come my way so far in life and do so to the best of my ability.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement of Jesus Christ is both the act in which Christ suffered for our sins and bled from every pore in the Garden of Gethsemane and was hung on the cross and atoned for the sins of the world. It is also the spiritual and emotional connection in which we are able to go to Him in our times of need and feel of His infinite love for us because of the Atonement. It is though the Atonement that He is able to comfort us, help us and guide us because he felt and understands everything in which we have gone through. It died for us so that we might return to live with our Heavenly Father and Him, that we may obtain salvation. The Atonement also requires our part as well. It is through the grace of God that we are saved, however it is also up to us to fulfill our part and live our lives in a way that is in accordance with His. We can not fully understand the Atonement because it is impossible for us to comprehend. However we can show our love and gratitude towards Him by having faith in Him, repenting of our sins, obeying His commandments, and striving to become like Him in every way we can. Show more Show less
