Hi I'm James

British-Chinese hybrid. Born in England, live in Idaho, and serving a Mandarin-speaking mission in California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of 5 children. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister. I love my family, and I'm sure they love me. I enjoy sports, music, traveling, meeting new people, and trying new things. After my mission, I plan on starting college at BYU-Idaho, and then going to BYU in Provo. Hope to find a wife along the way too.

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly, I'm a Mormon because I know this Church and it's teachings are true. Everything about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is there to help others. Nothing is for money, personal gain, fame, attention, or any other superficial thing. By growing up and living the standards and teachings of our Church, I have come to know where true, lasting happiness comes from. It is from things like families, friends, service, living healthily, respecting ourselves and others, and other principles that Jesus Christ and His Church teach. I know that all of the standards we have are there to help us find true happiness. Not because God doesn't want us to have fun or enjoy life, but because He knows better blessings and joy come from living these commandments and principles. By no means are members of the church perfect, but we understand that we have the opportunity to become perfect, through the example and sacrifice of our Savior Jesus Christ. He died for us, so that through him we can be cleansed from sin, in order to return to our Heavenly Father and receive eternal life and everlasting joy.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in a lot of ways, but the biggest way I'm living it right now is by serving a full-time mission. This means volunteering 2 years of your life to go out and invite others to learn of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for us, and share the special message that our Church has to offer. We believe all people are children of God, no matter their gender, age, race, beliefs, or any other difference. Everyone deserves to know where we came from, why we are here on earth, and where we will be going after this life. These are the answers that we have to give, and they're free. As missionaries, we know the joy and blessings that living our faith brings, and that is why we are out all over the world, sharing what we know to be true. Our Heavenly Father has a perfect love for each of us, and wants us to all return back to Him. This is what we know to be true, and that is what we are here to share.
