Hi I'm Brandon

I have an A.S in Chemistry and in General Science. I am an Eagle Scout. I am a missionary. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have two Associates degrees, one in chemistry and one in general science. I chose to go to school for these degrees before I went on my mission for the church. I am now about to serve in the Reno, Nevada mission! I am an Eagle Scout, I've been at McDonalds for five years, all through college and high school. I loved being in band and the marching band in high school and middle school. I love purple and animal print. I love the 80's. That "old time Rock 'n' Roll." I love making mix cd's for people as gifts. I enjoy staying active in politics and in my community. My favorite holiday is Halloween because it is close to my birthday and I absolutely enjoy dressing up for the festivities like a rock star! I enjoy physics, calculus, chemistry, and anatomy! After my mission I plan to finish my schooling in order to join the STEM community in some way. Other hobbies include: poetry, collecting action figures, watching anime, competitively playing trading card games, and my knowledge of 80's rock.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As I have grown I have learned the validity of the gospel. I continue to be an active Mormon because in short, It makes me happy. It has provided me peace of mind and spirit as I've gone through middle school, high school, and some college. As I have continued in the faith I have seen how I have grown as a person due in part to the opportunities the Church has given me. Due to my education I am very analytical and I like choices and reasoning's to be based in solid fact. Some may think that this view contradicts any religious organization but I'm here to share with you that it is, in fact the opposite! I say this because I believe in cause and effect. The cause is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints, and the effect is I am a better person than I would have been if I was not a Mormon! Believing in my Savior; knowing that He has a plan for me and that God is a god of wisdom and order serves as a bulwark as I learn more about the world around me. That as thing tend to move towards chaos, I find peace in that there is a plan in place, and that I know who I am, where I am going, and who I can become. As I increase in scientific knowledge my faith in God increases! As my faith increases, my desire to know more about Him and the world grows. In this way I can say this is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I serve currently as an Elders quorum teacher. When I was younger I served in scouting. I served as an instructor for a missionary preparation class. In my community I strive to work hard at my job and volunteer at events when I am able! In the past I served my community through student council, various language clubs, and The National Honor Society. I often talk about my faith at my workplace and encourage questions, (even if I do not know how to answer them yet). I try to bring my friends to church with me, or invite them to baptisms or ordinations that personally mean something for me.
