Hi I'm Didi

Hi! I grew up in Sofia, Bulgaria. I like Math and technology. I love talking on spiritual topics. I am a Mormon. :)

About Me

I am coming from a small family. I have no siblings but I have loving parents and great relatives. I could say that I a bold person but I haven't been like that trough my whole life. At school I was usually an outsider until a point in my life. My dad makes fun of me some times because I went to a high school for nerds. I studied Math and Programming. I love the people I met at the "nerd" school! I love adventures and learning new things. I think that I am a kind of a tomboy but one of my friends think that I am a typical girl. I just don't know who to believe. Recently I grew to love playing the piano. I have a great teacher that shows me how fun and logical it is to play the piano. I also love all sorts of crafting things. Probably I love this because I love creating and then gifting people so that they can smile. Everything is worth for a smile. I also love shooting, go carting and stuff like that.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was growing up, I was seeing the dedication of my parents to God and to the service for Him. I hate to tell this but I was mad because I didn't know how could I receive my own testimony. All of the people in the Church were converts and I was a child born and being raised in the faith. When I was about 14 I decided that I have to keep one of the commandments no matter what and it was to go to Church every Sunday. I began doing other things as well. One day I was listening to a conference talk and it was referred to the young women. We were challenged to read the Book of Mormon every day for at least five minutes. I accepted that challenge and don't regret it. While I was reading of records of faithful and happy people, I could feel God's love and how proud He was of people when they are righteous. When I was reading of wars and of sinful life, I felt the great sorrow God had for His beloved but unfaithful children. At the end of the book I could feel the testimony the Holy Ghost was giving me of this sacred book. This is one of the earliest testimonies I have received and it is truly a foundation of my belief. Trough time I received many valuable testimonies and I cherish them. God helps me in all times and loves me and I have felt His love to all of the people. He is there when I need help and counsel and He is there to give me comfort. I know that many need this knowledge and they can receive it and I can promise you that.

How I live my faith

I grew up in a country where the Church isn't very big. I often ended up being the only child and afterwards the only young person at Church. I was raised as one of the first latter-day saints in Bulgaria. My family has been faithful and went to Church regularly. I am grateful for their example to me. Now I participate as regularly as I can and teach lessons to young women under 18. Some days I organize fun activities for the young women. Through the years I didn't have a lot of support of people, who understood my challenges. I see an opportunity to help the young women, who I teach. I believe that these activities help them grow as friends and also grow in their faith. I recently began playing the piano at Church but only on the first Sundays of the month for now. I really feel the help of my Heavenly Father when I practice and when I play at Church. This support from Him is moving me forward.
