Hi I'm Mike

I am from Northern California. I have 3 sisters. I am an athlete, a singer, an honor student and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am from Santa Rosa California and am an honor student at BYU in Utah. I'm interested in the medical field as well as engineering. I hope to combine the two in a future career. I love playing basketball and golf and played both in high school and I enjoy lifting weights. I like singing and was a member of my high school Jazz choir. One great memory was when our Jazz choir performed in a National Festival in South Korea.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both Mormon so I grew up learning about this religion in my home. My dad's parents were Catholic and my grandpa who went to Notre Dame at one time had wanted to be a priest but he became a physician instead. I have grown up hearing how my grandma investigated the church. My dad had many questions about religion and he would ask his mother and she felt she needed to search for answers beyond what she had been taught at her church. She and my dad became Mormon and then 10 years later my grandpa joined the church too. If I were to dissect my life and look at all the good in my life, all of the good is a direct result of living the gospel. Every single thing. My parents goodness and how they raised me is all influenced by living the gospel for them. And as I look at my life I can confirm that the gospel is the core and brings me perspective and peace.

How I live my faith

I try to always be a good example of my faith. I pray and I live my beliefs. My friends know how I feel about the gospel because I am very open and I live what I say. My faith affects my daily life and changes what kind of decisions I make. It has helped me immensely.
