Hi I'm Tyler Aldrich

I'm a musician, I'm an amateur filmmaker, I'm a resident of Sin City, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a Senior at Shadow Ridge High School in the northwest area of Las Vegas. I play piano and cello, among other instruments. I am looking forward to serving a full-time mission in the next year.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to know that the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are true. In the Book of Mormon, we are promised that if we ask God "with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." (Moroni 10:4) To some, this concept can be a little hard to wrap your head around. But I know, from personal experience, that if you ask God, with a sincere desire to know truth, God will manifest Himself to you through the Holy Ghost, in a way that you will understand. I know that the gospel-- the Book of Mormon, the prophet Joseph Smith, and everything else-- is true because I prayed and asked God if these things were true, and He manifest to me, in a way that I can't deny, that it is true.

How I live my faith

I try to show my faith in Christ in all I do. I attend a high school that is about 10% LDS (Mormon). Everyone at my school knows at LEAST one Mormon and knows that Mormons are held to stricter standards than most. By living those standards and obeying God's commandments, others can see the Light of Christ through my actions. I also use my musical abilities to express my knowledge of the truthfulness of the gospel, as well as express my love for Him. I play the piano for many church meetings and I participate in an organization called Zion's Youth Symphony & Chorus, where I play the cello in the symphony.
