Hi I'm Amber

I'm an American living in Montreal. I play the violin, Irish stepdance, and speak a little French. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love food- mostly eating it, but making it is fun too. Music inspires me, so I play multiple instruments, but only the violin and guitar well. I competed in Irish stepdancing at the competitive level until I graduated High School. I met my husband in college at BYU and in the three years we've been married, we've lived in Utah, California, Texas, and Quebec.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church, but continuing to live the Gospel after moving out of my parent's house has been my own choice. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has given me hope in this life and in the life to come. I have received a personal witness that my Heavenly Father exists, that His son Jesus Christ suffered for my sins, that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel in this dispensation, and that Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet on the Earth today. The Gospel gives me conviction, a real purpose. And above all, it gives me the peace of knowing that I can live with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I currently teach the youth in my ward, particularly the young women ages 12-17. After the other Church meetings, I spend an hour each Sunday learning from them and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them. I also get together with the girls once a week for an activity. I anxiously await the re-opening of the Montreal LDS Temple so that I can go with my husband and serve there.
