Hi I'm Justin Pyper

I grew up in Houston. I battle with depression. I never thought I would serve a mission but, at the age of 24 I am. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love technology, I'm dyslexic and for some reason technology just comes natural. I have lost in the neighborhood of 90 pounds. I battle with depression, and have found that this gospel brings that happiness and light into my life. I am 24 years old and have chosen to serve a full time mission. I have been called to serve in the Washington Federal Way Mission. I truly never thought that this would ever happen. There was a time in my life when I fell away and became inactive. After about 5 years I started my journey back to my Savior and this gospel. My life has never been better.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, so I have always been a "Mormon". I believe 100% that every member of this church has to go through a conversion to truly be converted. I wasn't living my life within the standards after High School. I spent a good 5 years of my life without the light, the joy, the true happiness this gospel can bring into your life. I know that my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ loves me. There is a way back, the Atonement of Christ is how we can repent and live our lives without fear. I am a Mormon, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know this is the true church. I know that we have a Prophet and Apostles lead and guide us. We have the Book of Mormon, the most true, and most right book on this world. We have Temples, a House of The Lord. A place that we can be as close as possible to Our Savior and His Father on this earth. A place we can go to think, pray, learn, grow and spiritual develop ourselves. I have a testimony of these things and more and a desire to coming to learn and grow in this gospel.

How I live my faith

I have been attending the Temple at least once a week since I received my endowments last November. I have been serving as a ward missionary in my home work and was the Elders Quorum secretary when I was attending BYU-Idaho. I try daily to help people around by doing a simple act of kindness. Life is not easy, but I have found that when I try and help someone's day become easier... That light and joy is added into my life.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Justin Pyper
Simply the Atonement of Christ is everything we need to return to live with Him again. Through His Atonement we can be forgiven from our sins, and we can use the enabling powers of the Atonement to get through this life. Without Christ and without His Atonement this life wouldn't be possible and wouldn't have a purpose. Its because of the love of Our Savior Jesus Christ has for each of us that He suffered every single thing in each of our lives. Show more Show less
