Hi I'm Sammy

I grew up in Oceanside California. I am a University student studying Speech-language Pathology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a Mormon Missionary in London. Before this I was a University student studying Speech-language pathology. My hobbies were numerous but some of my favorites were theatre, improvisational comedy, and stand-up comedy. I love socializing and being with my friends. I went to every party, activity, and social thing that I could. I always tried to involve everyone and bring everyone that I could to all of these things. I always tried to reach and be a friend to those who didn't have very many or were feeling lonely and always tried to get them involved in all of the things that I would go too. I love people, I really do, I love talking with and conversing with people. I hope to one day be able to help those in need by becoming involved in Humanitarian-aid efforts. I truly want to go forth and serve those most in need. I fully intend to make this goal happen one dayas I believe that it is very important to serve those who are in need. I love life and I hope to live life to its fullest by helping others in any capacity that I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I was not raised religiously. I feel as though because of that growing up I always had a fascination with religion, as it was something that I did not have that was a part of my life. When I was 12 years old my best friend invited me to go to Church with him. That was the first time that I had ever attended a Church in my life. Although I did not have much of an understanding of what was going on at the time, I remember clearly the first time that I ever partook of the Sacrament. When I partook of both the Bread and the Water I felt a healing, cleansing wave wash through me I felt so purified and cleansed. Although I did not have a deep understanding of what was going on or what we were doing I knew that there was something special about this and I wanted to learn more about it. I began meeting with the Missionaries at my best friend's house. I remember that as they taught me about the First Vision of Joseph Smith, when he prayed to know which Church was true and saw God and Jesus Christ appear before him and when I was taught about the premortal existance, when we all lived with God before coming to this life, I felt as though it all seemed so familiar. This was the first time in my life that I had ever heard these things yet they all seemed so familiar to me, as though I had once known, only I had forgotten. All of these things seemed like the shadow of the most distant memory that you could ever possibly conjure. It all seemed so right to me. So correct to me. I knew that the things beong taught to me were true based on what I was feeling. It was the Holy Ghost that I was feeling telling me that these things were true. I was Baptized. Joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the best choice that I have ever made in my life. I do not regret it and I strive to share what I have learned and that which had blessed me with others.

How I live my faith

I chose to live my faith by by volunteering two years of my life to serve as a full time Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Finding the gospel of Jesus Christ is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. That is why I wanted to go on a Mission, so that I could tell people about the gospel of Jesus Christ so that their lives can be blessed and enriched just as mine has been.
