Hi I'm Budd

I'm from Southern California. I have lived here my whole life. I am retired and I like to hike, garden, and read. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of four children and a grandfather of 17. My wife passed away a few years ago and have since re-married increasing our family to 9 kids and 32 grandchildren. I like to go hiking with my senior friends in the local mountains. I also enjoy serving in the community. My wife and I enjoy camping and riding our bikes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am fortunate to have been "born in the Church". My parents were members when I was born so I grew up in a very good environment. I gained a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a youth through following the basic commandments; prayer, study, attending Church, paying my tithes and offerings and fasting. Serving a mission in South America was a great blessing to my testimony. Serving others my entire live has blessed me greatly. The Church offers me many opportunities within the Church and in the community.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my local congregation. I work specifically with the older men in my Ward. I enjoy home teaching. My wife and I have planned several ward activities such as: 50's themed dinner & dance, a country fair social. Together we have been involved with Youth camps, helping with activities, workshops, and special lessons. I serve as a volunteer in the Bishops' Storehouse (local food Bank) and the Thrift Store operated by the Church (Deseret Industries).
