Hi I'm Charles

I grew up in Utah. I like explosions. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy many things. I just graduated from high school. I plan on attending College after completing my mission. I plan on getting into an engineering program though I have not yet decided what field I will end up going into. I just don't want to work at a desk. I enjoy going shooting, camping, fishing, and biking. I bought a remote control airplane but I can't fly it so it doesn't count as a hobby yet. I enjoy listening to classic rock music. All other music is kind of boring and the lyrics are too simple and often times annoying. I am glad Justin Bieber got deported back to Canada. I worked on a dairy during and after high school for over two years and I believe that everyone who goes to high school should get a job so that they know how to work and have some money they can use later in life. When I turn 21 I plan on getting a concealed weapons permit so I can protect myself from anybody who might want to harm me. Even though most who carry never encounter anything they will need a firearm for it sounds like a good thing to have just in case. I hate the cold weather and wish that I could live somewhere warmer than northern Utah. I live with my mom and my dad and sister and a dog who is a basset hound named Rosie. I will leave them behind to serve a mission. Though I will miss 2 years of my life living at home I expect it to be worth it. I have another sister who is married to a geologist and lives happily in a town warmer than where I live.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know for a fact that this is the true church. I have found out for myself through personal revelation that it is true. Even though I was born into the church I would not attend if I did not believe what they taught was real. Everyone in the church is in any way different than anyone else except for the fact that they live in a way that is in the world but not of the world. The teachings of the church are for us and are not to restrict us but to help protect us from things that could harm us or maybe we would regret later on in life. I would be a different person if it were not for the guidance of the church and the difference means everything to me. I have made many mistakes but through the help of the church I was able to come back to living a life with less trouble and could enjoy life again. People who do not believe in god refuse to believe he is real because they don't know and haven't found reason to find for themselves if he is real.

How I live my faith

I attend church weekly and right now I don't have a calling. Though a big calling is coming up and that is serving a mission. Even though I will be gone for two years the calling will be worth it and I am looking forward to the experiences that I will get from Going. As a youth member in the church I always knew the church was true and I enjoyed going on activities and trips with the other youth in the church. It has been fun to mess around and make great memories with the activities I participate in. It has been a blessing for me to be able to serve the members of the church and live the way I am supposed to live. Me and my dad are called to visit 3 families throughout the ward and see how they are doing. They are all friendly and I enjoy speaking with them. My boss also had a calling in the church where he works with missionaries. I had the opportunity to go and teach with them and they have got to be some of the best people I could hang out with. Two of the missionaries were from Finland.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Charles
It is the most correct book on earth. It is a companion and can give answers to anyone who is in doubt. It is a record of ancient teaching and history of America written by the followers of Christ. Personal revelation can verify that what is in it is true. Show more Show less
