Hi I'm Axel

I grew up in Mexico city, Mexico but moved to the U.S. when I was 15. Thanks to the church I've grown mentally and spiritually.

About Me

I love football, playing guitar, going out with friends, I love helping people because like them at one point I needed help as well and since I was able to get help I want to help others. I have big plans after my mission like going to college and getting a degree on civil engineering, although I have other careers planned in case I change my mind.

Why I am a Mormon

Going through high school is very difficult for some people, I was one of these people, I switched high schools almost every year due to my constant moving kind of lifestyle, because of this every year I had to make new friends something I'm not very good at. Towards the end of my junior year I thought I wasn't going to make it because even though I had a few friends I was still depressed and like always I was switching schools again, no friends yet again. Just before I started to get enrolled in the other high school the missionaries came to knock at my door saying that my dad had contacted them to talk to me, they said if it was ok with me to come at another time to talk to me to which I said "sure". They taught me many wonderful things, things that matched with things I believed, they also became my friends when I only had 1 or 2 friends at most I felt welcome since the beginning and before I knew it I was baptized and confirmed a member of the church. I was in the youth program and over the time I developed friendships that I would not forget I consider them my family forever and ever something I never really had, I became humble and realized I wanted other people to feel like that, I convinced my family but felt like I wanted to share it with the world so with only a single year of unforgettable experiences I decided to preach the gospel as a fulltime missionary. I know that Heavenly Father knows the needs of everyone and if you ask with a humble and faithful heart he will tell you that the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints is true just like he told me.

How I live my faith

In my ward the people are very nice and friendly! I used to be in the youth program and it was amazing I was friends with almost everyone. We would visit people that stopped going to tell them that we were there for them, everyone was trying to be better every day, both mentally and spiritually, trying to strength our faith and our testimony while at the same time we would play sports or go on road trips to have fun (2 Nephi 2:25) but always remembering the Lord being an example to others.
