Hi I'm Suzanne

I was a varsity athlete in high school. I was born and raised in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am majoring in Sports and Exercise Science in college. I enjoy painting and sewing. In high school I participated in track & field, tennis, powerderpuff football, and debate. In addition to my extracurricular activities in high school, I earned an International Baccalaureate diploma as well as a lot of college credit from Advanced Placement and concurrent enrollment classes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know it is true. I have seen too many things to make believe otherwise. When the Bible says that by their fruits ye may know them, it is talking about how to determine if something is good by analyzing the actions that come from it. I've seen the fruits of the Church, and they are good, therefore the Church is also good. Many people and churches in the world also bear good fruits and teach correct principles, but the LDS Church is set apart in that it also contains the fullness of the gospel of Christ. I know that the doctrine is true because I have read the Book of Mormon and received a witness that it is true. It did take some time for me to come to know the Church was true. I had to really study the Book of Mormon and pray about it. But, after studying the book hard, I came to know that it is true. Because the Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith must have been a prophet who was called of God to restore the Church of Jesus Christ on the earth. I choose to live according to the standards of the Church because Jesus Christ is at it's head. He is our Savior and made it possible for us to return to Him and our Heavenly Father again someday. I would not like to reach judgement day and have the Savior ask me why I didn't follow the standards even though I know the Church is true.

How I live my faith

I was called to the Georgia Atlanta Mission. While serving my mission I have enjoyed doing service and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Before my mission, I was on a committee that planned youth activities until I was called to serve as a counselor for the special needs activities program.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Suzanne
Everyone on the earth is a spirit child of God. God loves all of His children. Because He is our Father, He wants us to be happy and safe. He chooses prophets to help in this process. Prophets are given the power to receive messages from God on behalf of all of the earth. In the world today, many people are lost and confused. Heavenly Father knew that the people would need some guidance, so He called a prophet to help guide them. As people follow the prophet, their lives become more peaceful. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Suzanne
Missionaries will share a message about our Heavenly Father's plan for mankind. The plan includes our Savior, Jesus Christ, who performed the Atonement for the sins of all people. Missionaries will also teach of the importance of prophets and scriptures. As they teach this, they will share scriptures that confirm that their message is true. They may ask you to read some scriptures to help you gain a better understanding of what they want to share with you. Missionaries will also often ask if you have any questions or concerns that they can help to clarify. Show more Show less
