Hi I'm Amara

From Mesa Arizona, grew up in Duchesne Utah. Will be serving as a missionary in Ohio.

About Me

Hey! I'm Amara, I am preparing to serve a full time mission in Cleavland Ohio! I am 19 and in previous years leading up to this point I've picked up a lot of hobbies. I love to be involved with as much as possible. So you can say I like to keep busy! Ever since I was two years old I've been riding horses. I've been involved in 4-H and rodeo. I love sports and tried almost everything! My favorites are volleyball, basketball and track. I did a little speech and drama. I'm a choir geek, and I loved FFA. I also love to swim and became a lifeguard at the age of 15 and have been one ever since. I love to doodle...but who doesn't!?

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, there was a time in my life where thing were dark and dreary. I was just ready to give up because i didn't know if there was a God who existed and i didn't understand the purpose of this life. I had, had enough. There was no one i could turn to and talk to. No one who could even begin to understand how i felt and the situation. No one who had gone through what I had and was going through. I prayed and asked if God was there and right after my prayer i was calm and i had a peace. I learned that, Christ knew what i was going through. He knew and he had felt my pain. I came to know that God was real and he loved me because he had sent me an Angel who is my best friend Alex. He showed me i was loved through him and his love. I am a Mormon because of they joy i found in him and through living the gospel. He had brought my life meaning and had gave me life. The joyful life i found by living the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I love horses! You give a girl a horse and she will be busy to do anything else. At a young age I trained my own horse and helped train other people's horses. There is an amazing connection between horses and their owner. There is something a horse can do to heal a person that, someone else cant at times. You see that a lot in people especially when they haven't been introduced the gospel. When i train horses and their riders i get to see the progress and the joy that comes from that progress. A horse can carry someone when they cant seem to carry themselves. They carry them away form the world and their problems. They are able to heal that person through their loving spirit and willing attitude. It gives the rider a something to connect with and look forward to. I love giving them that and watching their experiences.
