Hi I'm Lincoln

I grew up in a small town in northern Utah. I'm serving a full-time mission in Barbados. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 18 years old. I grew up in a small town. My dad runs a small landscaping business, where I have worked since I was 12. I played football and basketball in high school. I love sports, and we were very successful my senior year, winning a state championship in both sports. I also play the piano. I started when I was in the first grade and I've spent years playing the hymns in sacrament meeting. I plan to attend Brigham Young University when I get home from my mission. I will probably major in some type of engineering, and I plan to become an engineer someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know absolutely, without a doubt, that Joseph Smith really did see God the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. I have felt the spirit testify that to me over and over again. My first experience with this happened when I was eight years old. I prayed very sincerely to God to know if the Book of Mormon was true. I felt an overwhelming feeling of love come over me. Since that day I have felt the Spirit of God testify of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, and the truthfulness of this gospel, countless times. I have been so blessed by this gospel and it's teachings, it's the least I can do to spend two years sharing what I know. I want everyone to experience the same happiness and peace that I have enjoyed through living gospel principles.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example to my friends and family. I thought that the best way to do that right now would be by serving a full-time mission. I have two younger brothers that really look up to me. I want them to see that I have a testimony of our savior Jesus Christ. I want them to see that I know this gospel is true, and that I am willing to sacrifice two years of my life for it. I try to live my life by the principles Jesus taught, and I hope that by my example others are inspired to do the same.
