Hi I'm Angela

I grew up in Utah. I have worked in restaurants and on an animal rescue farm. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I plan on serving as a full time missionary soon. Afterwards, I want to go into Occupational Therapy. Right now, I'm an assistant manager at an American food chain restaurant, and I try to find time to volunteer at a nearby animal rescue farm. I love working with children and farm animals. I'm taking a few classes now, and plan to go deeper into my education after I serve a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, I always knew that it was true. As I went through middle school, and early high school, I didn't admit to myself that it was true because that would mean I had to change what I was doing. Eventually, things just seemed so dark and lonely all the time. I decided that I needed to not only know of the truth, but to understand it; to do something about it. I saw what my friends were doing to be happy, and I tried to do the same. I started reading the Book of Mormon, and keeping the Lord's commandments. I can't say a specific day or time that it hit me: understanding the Church came gradually over time. But as I prayed and studied for myself, I came to know of a surety that it was true. I found out that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet of God, and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Once I knew and understood those two things, everything else fell into place. Everything else was easier to understand and accept. I'm a Mormon because I have put it to the test and found it to be true. I have found peace and joy in knowing that Jesus is the Christ; He has saved me and helps me every day. Following the commandments and teachings from this Church, Jesus Christ's Church, has made me into who I am. I can't express how grateful I am to have a knowledge of the Truth. It's not always easy, but It makes everything easier. It's the best thing that has ever happened to me.

How I live my faith

I'm a Youth Family History Consultant, which means I help the youth groups with family history searching. I'm still not very good at it, but I intend to get better. The youth are able to come to me with questions about how to work family search websites, and indexing.
