Hi I'm Michaela

I am a California girl at heart but I love the rain. I have a passion for writing, and smiling too big. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to write and my goal is to become a successful novelist, meaning one who can both support and express herself. I am an English Major at Brigham Young University Idaho and loving it, but I have taken some time off to serve a mission. I also love to sing, and act, though those have taken a backseat to writing since I graduated high school. I am a absolutely horrible dancer, but I love to do that too. i have a big family with three older sisters and a baby brother I love dearly, tough he's not such a baby any more.

Why I am a Mormon

Christ has always been there for me and I feel in my heart that this is his gospel. My mother was a convert to the church and I have heard many times the story of her conversion and how she wished she had found the true church sooner. I trusted her judgement when I was young and when difficult times arouse I turned to prayer, scripture study, and faith in Jesus Christ as I was taught to at church. I found that time and time again I was comforted, I was filled with love and Joy, and I felt my Heavenly Father and Brother there with me. When I would pray to be able to follow the principles taught at church, I would feel the Holy Spirit strengthening me, I would know in my mind and in my heart that what I was praying for was good, and I was striving after the right things. I have given up much over the years to live the gospel, I have spent a lot of time and energy doing all i could to live everything in the gospel. Every time I have chosen to live this gospel, despite the difficulty, I have felt the comforting and calming whispers of the spirit telling me my choices were right. I have been strengthened and blessed time and time again. I have had to give up people that I loved dearly but who I knew were leading me away from what I believed. Though they know I care them our relationship is much different than it would have been because I know that living the way God would have me is more important. If the church wasn't true i would regret this choice, I would feel alone, and I would change my mind and return to them. But I do not regret my choice, as time goes on I can see that I am so much more confident and strong than I ever could have been if I had chosen another path. I am sincerely happy. Christ has never let me down when I lived the gospel taught in His scriptures and by His holy prophets. That is why I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints.

How I live my faith

I teach Sunday School in my ward and I love it, I learn so much as I prepare to teach including learning how to follow the Holy Spirit. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and try my best to live my life around it. I am excited to begin full time missionary service soon. I can think of no more wonderful way to spend my time than to daily teach others about the joy I have gained through Christ, and how they can have it too!
