Hi I'm Candice

I am from Minnesota. I have a huge passion for all things that are different than me and I've been called to serve in Busan Korea.

About Me

I am a very unconventional person. I always try to find different ways to things and live about life. I really like sharing things with people close to me, eating delicious food, and writing spoken word poetry about the things I see and live everyday. I try to write down anything that catches my attention and I am always observing people, which is why I am studying Sociolgy ay BYU-I. I aspire to be a detective like Oliva Benson from Law and Order: SVU. People always tell me that I have a good vibe which is why they like to be around me, so I live everyday in accordance to honor those beautiful compliments about myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I can see the happiness the knowledge of the gospel has brought to me, to everyone in my family and just everyone who associates with the church. I know in my heart and soul that this church is true and that Hevenly Father has created a Plan of Salvation, along with the Atonement through which we will be saved and be able to to return to Him again. I pray that you are all able to feel His abounding love for each one of us and that you are able to feel these things to be true for yourself. Amen

How I live my faith

My parents converted to the church when I was about 3 or 4, so essentially, I've grown up in the church since its the only religion I know on a personal level. I feel like I knew about the gospel, but I really took a lot for granted. I never really began to see how the gospel and our Heavenly Father had shaped my life. It all really changed when I got to high school, that when I noticed how many of my seemingly horrible "earthly problems" were solved with prayers and daily scripture study. For a while, I was there, holding onto a good constant. But that really changed to what it is today when I went to BYU-I to start college. Being surrounded by people who share your same faith is something beautiful and beyond spiritual comprehension. It was during a weekly BYU-I Devotional that I made the decision to serve a mission. I have been called to serve in Busan South Korea.
