Hi I'm Julie

I grew up in Los Angeles, but moved to New Mexico when I was 7. I am serving a mission in Chesapeake Virginia and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in the Virginia Chesapeake mission. I love photography! Since moving to a more rural area, I have grown my passion for agriculture, so much so that I am now studying to become a high school agriculture teacher. I love my family, especially my two nieces and my nephew.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young child, I remember walking to our LDS church building just across the street from our house in California. Even as a small child, I knew the church was true, but was not truly converted until later on. Though you can always progress in your conversion, a major stepping stone in my life was when I decided to serve a mission. I always wanted to go on a mission, even before I knew what it fully meant. However, when college rolled around, I had a decision to make. I could stay at college and further my education without any pauses or breaks, I could marry soon and start a family, or I could serve an 18 month long mission and come back to the other two decisions. It was a long process of much praying and fasting, but I finally came to the conclusion that I needed to serve the Lord. So, I put my papers in and got my call. It felt so right where I was being called to, that I knew I had made the right choice. Now, I get to help others find Christ and discover why they are or are becoming a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Although I have held many callings within my ward youth groups and singles ward, my all time favorite, and how I am currently living my faith, is by being a full time missionary. I am called to serve in the Virginia Chesapeake mission. I have always wanted to serve a mission and still can't believe the day is finally here!
