Hi I'm Rogie Shutt

I grew up in Seattle and Graham, Washington. Our family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was 14.

About Me

I am a grandmother of four boys and one girl. I love doing family history and helping my daughter with her 2nd Grade class. As a child I attended the Lutheran Church with my grandmother, the Baptist Church with my neighbor, the John Knox Presbyterian Church with a girl friend, and the Covenant Church with a girl friend. All of these organizations have helped me be a better person. When I was fourteen a Senior Missionary couple knocked on our door and told us the true church of Jesus Christ had been restored. Our family investigated the church together and we were baptized members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. What a wonderful experience to go to church together as a family and receive the blessings of the teachings of Jesus Christ. We have found true peace and happiness through regular attendance at church, scripture study, and prayer.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was fourteen. My father felt it was the best organization for our family. He was right. It has helped me be a more Christlike person. It teaches me how to choose the ways that bring peace and family happiness into our lives. It is one of the greatest blessings in my life.

How I live my faith

I am a Family History Consultant; I help others research their family history. I have always loved doing family history. I teach a church class of three girls and two boys about Jesus Christ. I also enjoy helping in my daughter's 2nd Grade School Class.
