Hi I'm Kayetlin Shady

I was raised Baptist but now I am a Mormon. I love listening to music and driving around in my car. My car is pretty cool.

About Me

I am currently a student studying criminal justice. I enjoy listening to music and painting. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family whenever I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in fact I was raised in a Baptist household where my dad was the pastor. As I grew up I felt like my life was lacking fullness. During my first year in college I met with missionaries from the church who taught me about the Restoration of the Gospel and the Plan of Salvation. I also learned many other things about Jesus Christ and His plan for me. I prayed and read and embarked on my new journey. I finally found the truth I had been searching for. I felt complete and filled with the Spirit after my baptism and confirmation. When life presents me with happiness or pain I know I have Jesus Christ my Savior, and my Heavenly Father who are there for me to rely on. I am constantly amazed at how the Gospel continually works in my life even in the minimal tasks of the day. I couldn't imagine living my life any other way.

How I live my faith

A key aspect to living my faith is attending church regulary and being involved. I aslo attend Institute classes during the week and go out with the missionaries whenever possible to share the gospel. At times it can be difficult to walk the strait and narrow but I make it a point to surround myself with people who love the gospel as much as I do who help me stay focused on growing through Jesus Christ.
