Hi I'm Amy

I am a college student, daughter, sister, Texan, and a Mormon.

About Me

I currently attend college in Idaho, and as a student, much of my time is spent studying. I also love to play piano, sing, swim, and have fun with my friends. My home state is Texas, where I grew up with six amazing younger siblings. I love people, especially my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents have raised me inside the Church, and it has always been a part of my life. However, that is not why I continue to stay in the Church. I am in college now, thousands of miles away from my family, and I can essentially do anything I want. What I want to do is continually follow the Church's teachings and get to know the Savior more. I have prayed a lot about the Church and its teachings, and the Holy Ghost has confirmed to me that it is true. It is not my mom, my dad, my friends, my teachers, anyone that keeps me going with the Church. It is God. The love that I feel for and from Him is real, and I wish to do what pleases Him. I have a testimony from the Spirit that the Church is true. I know that the Book of Mormon and the Bible correspond perfectly with each other. By following the teachings in both of these wonderful books, we can come to know the Savior and truly be happy.

How I live my faith

I try to make my faith in Christ a part of everything I do. I work hard, serve others, and try to make the world a better place around me. I serve in my ward by playing the organ each Sunday and helping out in the nursery. I am about to serve an 18-month mission in California for the Church.
