Hi I'm Chris

I was in the U.S. Air Force. I love music. I'm a student. I have many interests. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was in the U.S.Air Force. I like science fiction, video games, dancing, playing instruments, creative writing, martial arts and many other things. I am currently a college student with an interest in Aerospace and mechanical engineering as well as robotics.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 19, I had considered joining the military. I wanted to be a Marine because I wanted to be stronger and I wanted a sword. So I go to my mom and tell her that I was considering joining up. She stopped me and said, "I know, I've dreamed it. Join the Air Force." My mom passed away when I was 20. So, I joined the Air Force and met Mike. We watched out for each other through basic training and tech school. Then we went to separate bases. I didn't see him again until we were both stationed in Germany three years later. We would go on road trips and hang out and he and his wife Sarah would often feed me at their place. One day, they were going on a trip and asked me to watch their dog Toby. I asked them where they were going and Mike said, "We're going to get sealed!" I had no idea what they were talking about, so I told them I'd watch Toby and made a mental note to ask them about it later. Christmas rolls around and they host a party at their place. After the party, somehow Mike and I end up talking about religion and everything he tells me and all I've seen him live are things I grew up believing. I ask him what really is the difference between what he and I believe. So he shows me a video of President Monson giving a talk. When I heard his council, I felt the Holy Spirit testify that he is truly a man of God. Mike invited me to church and I willingly accepted. There, in another country and a church I hadn't been to before, I felt like I had come home. They invite me to read The Book of Mormon. I accept the invitation and take it home. I knew that God would not mislead me, so I prayed, "God, if The Book of Mormon is not yours, let me know and I will put it out of my house forever. If it is, let me know, and I will follow it with all my heart." As I read it, I felt the Holy Spirit testify of its truth. I also noticed that I began to understand the Bible more. That's how I knew The Book of Mormon was also the word of God. I knew then that this is His Church.

How I live my faith

I am currently the ward clerk. I try my best to make sure everyone has what they need in Sunday school classes as well as make sure records are updated. I try my best to help the bishop any way I can. Outside of church, one of my goals is that whoever I interact with, I leave them feeling better about themselves. In my efforts, I do my best to always be sincere in how I treat others because I want them to feel Gods love. I want them to know that they are of great worth.
