Hi I'm Samson Hansgen

I grew up in Utah. I play a lot of sports and I work at In N Out. Never forget that i'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a pretty average kid. I love being outside and I love playing sports. I'm really close with all my friends and we do everything together. I'm currentlly on my mission, Costa Rica in the San Jose East Mission, and i am really excited. My family consists of my mother and father and 2 siblings. My oldest sister is 24 years old and she is married. Her husband is very nice and a great example in my life. My oldest brother is one of my best friends. Although it was not always like that I truly believe that we have been driven together throughout our lives. He served a mission in Honduras and got back in June of 2015. Later in the year i left on my mission to Costa Rica. My family is my everything and i am very grateful for them in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because of what this faith has done for me. It has given me so many opportunities to help others and get other people where the should be in the world. When i was younger the only reason I was mormon is because my parents took me to church but then i grew up and I started gaining a testimony of my own for what i knew I believed in. I'm not in this religion because my parents made me be here. I'm in this religion because i believe in the teachings. I've lived my life without the Gospel in it and I truly feel the difference when i'm living the standards and when i'm not.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to everyone i meet. I am always willing to listen to peoples hardships and offer them a way to get through it because I've dealt with a lot of the same things. I live my faith for trying to think of other people. I live by being myself in every situation. Another way I show my faith is being on a mission. It has been a short time since I got here and it is easily the hardest thing I've done. I show my faith by believing that my Lord Jesus Christ is with me to help me the entire way through this hard part of my life.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Samson Hansgen
A testimony is a outward expression of a persons beliefs. It is a way people can outwardly express with words what they feel about a certain topic in the Gospel. Popular testimonies are that the church is true. That it was Restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. Show more Show less
