Hi I'm Athens

I grew up in Lehi, Utah. I am a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was a competitive gymnast for nine years and participated in cheerleading for six. I am the second of four children. My family loves soccer and loves to travel around the world. I love being physically active and playing many different sports. I am currently a college student and I love it! I love helping others and making a difference in the lives of the people around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I have had to gain my own personal testimony of the gospel. I have learned that having help from my Savior in my daily life has helped me so much. I know that I am a beloved daughter of God and that I have divine potential. Reading the Book of Mormon has changed my life. It has helped me get through so many hardships and trials. It shows us that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He uses his grace to save us. We are taught that it is by grace that we are saved after all we can do. His grace is sufficient for us all. Christ doesn't make up the difference, He makes all the difference.

How I live my faith

I am currently a gospel doctrine teacher in my college ward. I love teaching my peers about the teachings of Jesus Christ. On Sunday I attend church and on Monday we have family home evening, which is sharing a spiritual thought or lesson and doing an activity as a family. Throughout the week, we try to do our best to be an example in word, in conversation, and our actions. We strive to be like the Savior and know that He will help us as we try to be like Him.
