Hi I'm Mikail Behrman

I am a Colorado native and love all of the blessings I have received by being a Mormon. =)

About Me

My name is Mikail and I was born and raised in a small Colorado town located in the San Luis Valley and after graduation high school I moved to another Colorado town for college. I studied history with secondary education and have recently graduated with my teaching degree. I was recently married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Denver Temple to my best friend Kyle. I love reading, writing, history, old movies, music, and board and card games. I am exploring the field of education by subbing and enjoy getting to help and teach so many children. I love all of my friends and family and I love them dearly and I have been blessed immensely throughout my life by being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I find true love, joy, and peace in this wonderful gospel. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us so much that he established a perfect plan that would allow us to come to earth and progress and learn and then return to him again. We can return to him again and have all that he hath by striving to be like our Savior and accepting his atonement. We all make mistakes and if it were not for the saviors atonement we would be left in sorrow and woe. As I have made mistakes and have had trials in my life I have been able to turn to my Savior and he has been there to help me find peace and move ahead. As I have followed the commandments I have been blessed in all aspects of my life. I know that I can pray to my Heavenly Father and through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost he will help and guide me. I know that the Prophet Thomas S. Monson and his apostles are men truly called of God and that we need them more than ever. Our Father in Heaven wants us to succeed and through this gospel he has given us all the tools I and everyone needs to have joy in lives. Most importantly I know that I am loved by my Heavenly Father and Savior and for that reason and so many others I am a member of their church.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings in the Church and each of them have allowed me to serve others, learn life skills, strengthen my testimony, and come to closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior. The church has programs for everyone, for children, pre teens, teenager, young adults, and adults. I had the opportunity to serve as a peer youth leader during my teenage years and this is where I truly began to understand this wonderful gospel. I participated in activities and programs that allowed me to reflect on my spiritual state and make changes to come closer to my Father in Heaven. I was surrounded by leaders that taught me how to lead and how to love others. When I moved away from my family and home ward, I went to a young single adult ward. In this ward I was involved in activity and food committee's. Through these callings I made so many life long friends and I further strengthened my testimony. After 2 in a half years of being in the ward I was called to be the leader of the women in the ward. This was daunting as I was 20 years old and many of the women were older and had far more experience. But my Heavenly Father called me to that calling and he helped and blessed me in numerous ways. This calling helped to solidify that this church truly is ran by Jesus Christ and that he loves us so much and wants us to have joy in this life. After being married my husband and I went to a family ward and we have the opportunity to teach youth and help them strengthen their testimony and be ready for all that life throws at them. This calling will help me grow as well and I am so thankful for the opportunity to teach and help others depend on their Heavenly Father and Savior and the Gift of the Holy Ghost.
