Hi I'm Dennis A Stewart

I was born in Mount Pleasant, Utah, moved to Salt Lake City, where I grew up.

About Me

Gardening, skiing, outdoor activities are a big part of my life. I have served in the LDS temple for the last ten years. I met my wife while attending the University. I continued my education in South Australia. I served 27 years in the military medical service. We were fortunate, much of it in Europe. Moving every 3 years seems to suit our family life style while serving my country.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ is by far the most important part of my life. I chose to become active while pursuing a higher education in country far from where I grew up. After observing the ways of the world, my wife and decided to return to Utah to be married again, but this time for time and all eternity in temple of our God. We have made a commitment to live the commandments and serve. I have a testimony that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored by a humble prophet. I recognize these truths by prayer and the study. Modern and ancient scriptures have been revealed.

How I live my faith

Bringing up 6 sons and a daughter has given me the opportunity serve in my community as scout leader and a coach. In addition to sports I tried to teach my children the value of education, commitment to values and giving service to others. Leading by example I have had many experiences serving my community as lay church leader. In my church activity I was called as a teacher, a bishop over small congregation, and a counselor to both youth and adults. Now that I'm older I mostly serve with my wife. We spend time helping others doing genealogy, and family history.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Dennis A Stewart
It a deep feeling inside one gets from his faith in Jesus Christ, his love for me and what he's offers me in my life. These feeling want me to follow his teaching and his gospel that he set up on the earth today. I not one seeking deep questions. I kind of have the faith of child in some ways. It just feels right to believe in the precepts taught in the scriptures and by the holy men, the apostles and the prophet. I can feel my saviors love. Show more Show less
