Hi I'm Gabby

I love to make others laugh as a stand-up comedienne. I have an active imagination and love to pretend. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up near the Mexican border in southern Texas. I don't know much Spanish, but I speak German fluently. I love to learn new languages through people I meet around the world. Currently I am learning Polish to speak to one of my co-workers. I've enjoyed travelling around the world and seeing many cultures and meeting new people. I've done stand-up comedy for a few years. I especially love cracking jokes about the Mormon culture. Our peculiar people provide lots of material! I love my family and my husband and my cat. Most of all I love my savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

At first I was a Mormon because I was born into this faith. It was my culture, how I was raised. But now as I've grown and matured, as I've pondered and research and prayed about the gospel for myself, I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of this gospel. I believe in Jesus Christ and I want to follow him. The Church of Jesus Christ provides a place to learn about Christ and feel the Holy Spirit. I'm a Mormon because it makes me a happier, better person. I want to share my faith with everyone, whether that is through this profile, by mailing someone a Book of Mormon, or just being someone's friend.

How I live my faith

I love to do service for others. I enjoy working with all kinds of people, from all ages and walk of life. I find that the more I get to know someone, I realise people are so much more than meets the eye. Everyone has dreams and desires and everyone has struggles and pains. I enjoy being a source of happiness, comfort, help, or even just laughter to other people. Some of the service I do includes helping people with their children, especially single mothers or new mothers. I enjoy working with young women to help them develop talents and confidence. I enjoy working with working women trying to support their families. I visit with them and help them with trying find employment. I try to live my faith by being kind to strangers, giving money to homeless people on the streets, or inviting people into my home. I only have 24 hours in a day and only so much money in my bank account, so I try to make every second and every penny count.

What is faith?

Gabby
I been studying the concept of faith for the past few months. I've come to realise that faith is a power that is necessary for the performing of miracles. It is like Peter Pan's fairy dust to make one fly. It is an incomprehensible force that the lord Jesus Christ used to create the worlds. I believe that if I keep the commandments this will increase my faith. One day when that faith is so strong I have a true knowledge of things not seen, I will begin to see. I will see angels and the face of my Savior. Show more Show less
