Hi I'm Hayden

I grew up in Cypress, California in the United States. I love the gospel and it's teachings. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to do outdoor activities. I'm big on mountain biking, camping, and pretty much any sport. My all time favorite sport is soccer. I have become a huge car guy and want to be in that field as a career. After my mission I will be attending college. I'm also an eagle scout.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. My parents are converts. My dad converted as a teen and my mom as an young adult. My sisters and I are the first generation born into the church. I've seen how me being able to have the priesthood has affected my life in a way not possible without it. I've had personal revelations reassuring the truth of the church and its teachings. The Book of Mormon has reassured to me that the church is the true church. Without the gospel my life would be different. I wouldn't know about missions, temple work, and all the other stuff. I wouldn't have the friends I have and would probably be a completely different person. The gospel has helped me. It's given me comfort and strength to believe, hope, and have faith. I've been to Nauvoo, Carthage Jail, Liberty Jail, Far west, Adam-ondi-ahman, Mormon Trail, and other church history places. Standing in Carthage reminded me of a quote. It states "Don't ever let someone tell you that you can't do something. Not even me. You got a dream, you gotta protect it. When people can't do something themselves, they are gonna tell you that you can't do it. You want something. Go get it. Period"- Will Smith in Pursuit of Happiness. I feel that is how the gospel is if you want to know if the gospel is true figure it out by yourself. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. If you want to find out do it for yourself not what others say or do. I know this is the true church and we have living Prophets today. Trust and he will be there. Amen

How I live my faith

I was recently a cochairman to the youth. So I helped organize events such as dances, combined activities with other groups, and week long trips. I think service is a big part of our lives. It's something that makes us feel good and knowing that you helped someone with something is its own reward.
