Hi I'm Parker

I've grew up in an Alaska village my whole life, and went to church with 12 people in my branch. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My whole life I've shared a great relationship with nature. Everything that God has created on this earth thoroughly perplexes me. I am grateful that he has created this earth with an entire purpose for us to have joy. I really feel the spirit when I am outside looking at the stars. It's a manifestation to me that God lives and that the church I am in is the right place for me. I cannot help but to be excited for the future to come!

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up was tough. It was not up until about 6 months ago that I finally understood the meaning of being a member of the church. I grew up in a strong LDS home but found myself relying on their testimony not mine. I was angry at God because of the choices I was making and why he decided to pick me to have all of these challenges. It finally got to me at the most recent general conference when president Uchdorf reminded me that God did not place us on this earth to be sad but he placed us on this earth to have joy. The word "joy" means a lot to me because it is far different from the word "happiness". The difference is to have "joy" is eternal, and to be "happy" is temporary and worldly. I love the gospel and my challenges have made me a better person. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I love and live my faith by example. I will be soon serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints . I am excited to serve the people of North Carolina. Not only will I be changing their lives but also mine. Life has not always been easy but it only makes sense but to keep trying.
