Hi I'm Tyson

I'm from Sugar City Idaho, I am serving a mission in Santa Rosa California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for the LDS church. I am serving in the California Santa Rosa mission and left November 11, 2015. I have two amazing parents and 8 crazy, amazing siblings. I have been a member my whole life and the gospel has blessed my family in so many ways. Before I became a missionary, I loved working and being outside. My dad taught me how to work at a very young age through moving pipe, taking care of the cows, stacking hay bales, and even helping mom out with the inside chores. Along with my dad, both my grandfathers taught me how to have a little fun outdoors along with some pretty good life skills when they'd take me hunting, fishing, or take me out for rides on the four wheelers, or rides on the tractor or grain combine. I am also a ballroom dancer. I began dancing when I was in the 3rd grade. Once I got to high school, I decided I would stop playing soccer and basketball and focus on dancing. I was able to compete in a competition in Blackpool, England as a junior in high school. I love the sport and the great fun I have doing it! I also love to sing... Just not in front of lots of people!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents grew up in the church, so I have had the privilege of growing up in the Restored Gospel. I am a Mormon because of the examples of my family and friends who are also Mormon. I am a Mormon because of the peace that the spirit brings me. I am a Mormon because I have learned for myself, not just because my family believes, that Joseph Smith was/is a true prophet of God and that he translated the Book of Mormon and restored our Heavenly Father's true church on this earth for our time. Through the atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ, I know that we can repent and be forgiven of our sins. I know that our savior loves us and sends us trials to make us stronger. I know that if we live the way Christ wants us to, we can live with our families forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church on a weekly basis. Having my dad as the Bishop, or leader, of my ward for the last few years of my life, I have been able to show my faith through countless hours of serving. And now being a missionary its very easy to live my faith because that is all I do is teach the true word of God.
