Hi I'm Benjamin Sanders

I was born in Orlando Florida and am being raised in Mapleton Utah. I love basketball and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing Basketball. It is hands down my favorite sport and favorite activity. I have recently Graduated from Maple Mountain High School, and I am a full time employee at Wiggy Wash in Spanish Fork, Utah. I am called to serve in Knoxville Tennessee and I will be leaving December 2nd 2015 and I cant wait to go! My testimony has grown as I have prepared and studied and prayed and everything that the lord would want me to do. He has blessed my life with the knowledge that its true and with the opportunity to share the truth of it with other people. It has brought me so much happiness and I want to share my happiness that I have received from it and I would not want to trade it for the world!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because i have a testimony. I have read the Book of Mormon almost twice now and I have learned something new from each page that I read and I have three older siblings that have served missions and I have seen them grow and i loved to hear their testimonies and I just love the Lord and the blessings I have received. There are too many blessings that I have received and I can credit it all to living the gospel.

How I live my faith

I am constantly going to as many church related activities as I can and I stay obedient to the commandments and to what the prophets teach us. And as I do that and share my faith and what I know to be true I receive those blessings on a daily basis.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Benjamin Sanders
We do not worship Joseph Smith , but we do respect what he has done, he has helped build up the church that we currently go to, which allows us to worship God our Eternal Father and Our Lord Jesus Christ. Other churches don't worship their preacher but they honor him as the man who leads and guides their specific church, and we do the same with Joseph Smith and all other Prophets and Apostles who were called after him. Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Benjamin Sanders
Missionaries generally begin serving when they are from 18 to 19 years old. Many retired seniors, men, women, and married couples also serve missions. Missionaries serve from 18 months to 2 years. Missions are voluntary, and missionaries are not paid for their service. Missionaries come from around the world, and they serve wherever the Church calls them. While serving full-time, missionaries are official representatives of the Church. So no. Missions are not required but highly encouraged by the prophets. Our prophet once said that every worthy, able young man should serve a mission. And that is what I have chose to do. Show more Show less
