Hi I'm Sam

I'm serving a mission in Argentina Buenos Aires South. I worked my dream job as a construction worker before I came. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like working with my hands, and I bought an old Ford truck my senior year of high school and rebuilt the engine in it. I still like working on it every now and then. I always wanted to be a construction worker when I was a kid, and that dream came true right out of high school and is still alive in me today. I have done a year of schooling at community college for Construction Management, and plan on continuing after my mission to Argentina.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and raised in it. But I never really had a strong testimony until I graduated high school and went to the singles ward. I always participated and loved youth and scout activities, but after the kids my age went on missions or moved away for school, I needed something more. So when my sister offered to take me to the singles ward with her, I accepted. Even though I was the youngest in the ward, I still felt loved and welcomed (which I felt at my home ward, but it was nice to be with other college aged kids). I went to help prepare for a mission, and there were some things that needed to be worked out with the Bishop. After following his counsel to serve and accept the Atonement of Jesus Christ into my life, my testimony grew and was strengthened beyond what I thought. I am a Mormon because I know God lives. I know that the principles and doctrine taught in this church are true, and that it is truly God's church. I know Joseph Smith saw God and his son Jesus Christ. I know Joseph Smith translated the Book Of Mormon correctly.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service. I am part of the activities committee and love to participate and help out with my truck whenever possible. I strive to be a good home-teacher, and l try to help others without being asked.
