Hi I'm Chase Johns

I'm a Mormon. I'm from farm-town Iowa. I love sports and played a lot of them in High School. I'm serving a mission in Colorado.

About Me

I am fresh out of High School and am serving a full-time mission in Colorado. My hobbies include biking, lifting, singing, playing the piano, and having fun with friends. I love the outdoors and hope to one day have a family to share it with. I have 5 siblings. One older brother, two younger brothers. and two younger sisters. My relatives live all over the U.S. so I've had the opportunity to travel through many states. I plan to go to Iowa State University for electrical engineering or maybe a math teacher when I get back from my mission. I haven't really decided yet. I worked many jobs before my mission including life-guarding, preparing baseball/softball fields, and welding at a trailer company just to name a few. I am very out going and get along with all sorts of people. I believe that everything in life happens for a reason, so why not make the most of what happens?

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I know that what the Church teaches is true and no one can convince me otherwise. The Book of Mormon has helped me figure this out tremendously. In no way could've a young man been able to just make that book up with only an 8th grade education. The doctrines it teaches have warmed my heart beyond measure and opened my mind. i love my Father in Heaven and all the things in life he has blessed me with. I look forward to serving a mission in my Savior's name and helping anyone and everyone I can.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church each Sunday, reading the scriptures everyday, and always answering questions about my faith for anyone that is curious. I didn't' come across the church until I was about 6 years old when I was adopted into the family I have today. We were sealed together as a family in the Nauvoo temple, and that experience has always stuck with me. It makes me know that I will always have them with me, whether in this life or the next. I've had the opportunity to play the piano each Sunday and it's helped me realize the talent my Father in Heaven has blessed me with. I know there are many people for me to know and help each and everyday, as well as learn from them.
