Hi I'm Susan

I grew up in a farming community. I love sewing and fiddling, I am a Certified Nursing Assistant and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from high school with a 3.9 and attended a term at my dream university where I will continue my education after I serve an LDS mission. I have played the violin for 7 years and the piano since before I can remember. I now enjoy sharing those talents with others. I especially love to fiddle for the Elderly in my area and have spent many hours serving and talking to them. I am a CNA and I love working with people. I also really like to sew, I like to create beautiful and wearable pieces of art. I also really love little kids and where ever I go they seem to flock around me and to tell me of all their adventures.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a family that has been rooted in the Gospel for many generation. My parents taught me how to pray and to sing, and pay my tithing, but more importantly I am a Mormon because I want to be. Living the gospel that I am taught at church has brought into my life the most joy. By living this Gospel I know that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me, that I don't have to be afraid of what the future will bring. I am a Mormon because it gives me a sense of identity, that I am a Child of God, as are all those that live on this earth. I am a Mormon because I can see the good it brings into other peoples lives and into their relationships at home. It gives me the hope in life after death, and through the promised blessings of the temple, that I will be able to be sealed to my family, and be with them forever. I am a Mormon because I know the reality that Jesus Christ did in fact come to this mortal Earth and suffer for the sins of mankind, and that we have the opportunity to repent and be forgiven for the things that we do wrong. Life may not always go according to my plans, and I may not be anyone famous, or have done anything outstanding, but I know that I have a Heavenly Father that loves me with all His heart, and I love Him too, and I feel that love for those around me, especially when I serve them. I know that belonging to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has blessed me in so many ways I cannot count them all, I know that the only way back to our Heavenly Father is through repentance and baptism, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored back to the Earth by God through him. I know that Christ lives and because He lives I, and everyone else will live again. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one step at a time. Simply being honest and showing my integrity to those I associate with has been a huge blessing in my life. Smiling, for me has been the biggest way I have shown my faith, Christ loves everyone, I have tried to share that with others. Growing up in a smaller group of youth I have had many opportunities to lead. I love others and try to be an example of Christ, and I want to be just like Him.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Susan
The Gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ contains the entire truth. People in general want to "know why they are here" and "what is going to happen to them after this life", as a latter day Saint I know the answers to these questions and I want to share that knowledge with as many people that are willing to listen. I want them to be able to say just as I can "I know I can be with my family forever" "I know I can repent of my sins through faith in the atonement of Jesus Christ" "I know that I am a Child of God" These answers and many more are why the church is growing, because we love the Lord our God, and we know He loves us.
