Hi I'm Truli Wright

I love to hike. I play the harp. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a passion for music. Either creating it or listening to it. I play the harp, but I wasn't able to bring it with me to college. It is something I really miss. I come from a large family, and love spending time with them. Our favorite thing to do together is play boardgames. I have 6 nieces/nephews and they are the cutest people I know! I am attending my second semester of college currently, majoring in Health Psychology and minoring in Vocal Skills.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings joy to my life! I know the Book of Mormon is true scripture. I know that the Bible is, too, as long as it is translated properly. I read through the Book of Mormon for the first time, all on my own, when I was 16. It changed my outlook on life. It broadened my vision of myself and others. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ can bless the lives of many, if they would just try it. There are many hard things in life that distract us from the truth, and from what really matters. By following the principles set out by Jesus Christ, we can find help and encouragement through those hard times. I know that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will never give up on me. So I follow the gospel because I don't want to give up on them either.

How I live my faith

This semester, I have been called to teach women my age at church. My first lesson was two weeks ago and it went fairly well! I love being able to share ides about the gospel with other people my age. Recently I received my mission call, and I am very happy to have this opportunity to teach others because it is great practice! In the past, I have travelled to Guatemala to help prospective missionaries finish applying for a mission. This was a great opportunity. I went as a Dental Assistant. I helped my dad, who is a Dentist, fix people's teeth so that they could serve their missions without any mouth pain. I hope to go back someday to serve again.
