Hi I'm Arrianna

I grew up in a little town in Idaho with my family. I want to someday be an English teacher and a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm definitely a country girl! I love living in the mountains and being there with my family and friends. I also love to learn, and so that's probably why I want to become an English teacher someday. I'm sure my passion for reading and writing has something to do with that too. I love to create, and It's my goal to one day write a book. I grew up with my father reading to me, and I want other children to have those same bonding experiences that I had. I love fishing and enjoying the outdoors. When you take a moment to sit by the edge of a lake in the early morning, with the trees turning gold around you... that's one of those moments when you realize the love that God has for you. Look at all he has put in place for us! It's truly marvelous.

Why I am a Mormon

The easiest answer to this question would simply be, "I was raised in this church and so this is my religion." When I was younger, I was more inclined to think that. But as I have grown older and matured in this gospel, I have come to realize that I am a Mormon because I know it's true. I love it. This gospel gives me so much knowledge and comfort. We live in a crazy, scary world these days. Things that were once considered evil are now praised and commended. Good morals and teachings are perceived as unpopular and stingy. If you have an opinion that's different from what the world idolizes, you are a horrible, awful bigot. This gospel doesn't do that. Not at all. In this church, we are taught from a young age that Jesus was the Christ, and that He was sent to earth by our Heavenly Father. He was sent here to atone for our sins. To take our pains upon himself so that we wouldn't have to suffer. Because of His great sacrifice, we can turn to Him and sincerely repent and He will welcome us home with open arms. Heavenly Father sent Him, and Jesus Christ gladly accepted, because they love us so much. I love this gospel because it gives me hope. Even though I mess up, even though I fail, even though I'm tired, it's okay. He's taken care of us already. We need only repent, and everything will work out. I promise.

How I live my faith

As a student who is just home for the summer and busy working two jobs, I sometimes find it challenging to participate in church activities and callings. The funny thing about it all though; I have more time and peace of mind when I make it a goal to serve those around me in my church! While I was in college, I was called to be the choir director. I can sing basic songs and lead music, but I can't play piano, sing parts, or arrange music. I felt really inadequate! And being a freshmen among lots of older and wiser students made it even worse. I felt terrible when I would ask people to play the piano or come to practice because I felt like I was bothering them and taking away their much needed study time. Because of this, sometimes I would wait until the very last minute to throw something together. It ALWAYS ended in disaster. But the times when I sent out an email a week before practice and had everything prepared... those where the times when I felt like I could do hard things. Through this experience, I gained greater self confidence and, hopefully, I was able to help those around me appreciate hymns a little more. Music is so powerful.
